Inside Alix Petit’s Parisian apartment | Une Fille, Un Style | Vogue Paris

My name is Alix Petit,
I’m the designer of the Heimstone brand and the “Empower Women Through Creativity”
magazine. I’m 36 years old, I’m Parisian,
I grew up in Paris and I also traveled a lot,
especially in the United States, where I lived for four years. We’re in my apartment in the 7th arrondissement,
where I live with my husband, Onur, and our two daughters, Ellis and Panda. My husband and I both love decorating, so we actually decorated
the apartment together. He decorated the kitchen,
which is right in the middle of the apartment, and I carried out the finishing touches, whether it’s the colors,
the wall paintings, the wallpapers, etc. Our family life is all about meal preparation,
being in the kitchen, and that’s why our kitchen
is right in the middle of our living room. We love hosting big dinners at home
and that’s also what keeps our weekends busy. Usually, by 5:00 pm,
about 15 friends come to our house. The kids play together,
we all cook together, etc. In a way, there’s an American side to it. I’ve always worked out a lot,
but I took up yoga three and a half years ago. I practice every day, mostly Ashtanga yoga. I love the very rigorous side of it. I have a rather chameleon-like style
because I adapt quite easily. I have many and varied styles. I love the street style,
borderline sportswear. I love suits with little button-down blouses, lace collars, etc. And I love black clothes
as much as I love mixing prints together. I have no problem dressing the same
during the day and at night. I think that just changing shoes, putting on a long coat
instead of a jacket for example, changes everything, wearing a little more makeup
and a few accessories, that is, rings or a necklace
or something like that, and it’s in the bag. For example, if I have a date with my husband, I really love going all out
and getting all dressed up. Little Panda, who is not yet two years old,
I can still dress her any way I want. Ellis wears colors and prints very well, while I think Panda is very cute
in colors like gray, khaki, more plain. Anyway, I think prints don’t suit her for now, but it will change. And either way, we won’t have a choice.
