Carpentry Workshop – Micro Projects

My name is George Saghir, married and a father of two The boy in the 7th grade and a girl in the 9th grade We live in Jabryeh area My name in Nichola Loze, I am married and I have 4 children “God bless yours” Three girls who are married and a boy Abdo who is still studying We live in Telephone-Hawaae area The house is ours since a long time ago We have been through hard situations and a crisis which all the world knows about Before this war, we had a good life and we didn’t need help anyone
It was all from our hard work, Thanks God, we have started from scratch and built our lives a step by step With my two brothers in law who are also my partners since 1990 we have
worked in this career Then the disaster happened… you cannot imagine what we went through We had three factories two of them with a 300 square meter space and one with
1200 square meter space And they are all ruined to the ground now… We sold our cars in order to continue our lives after we were left without a job We sold them just to eat and drink not for luxuries but for basic needs We worked in almost everything I worked as a taxi driver for a while I also worked in a mini market and then quitted because the conditions were very poor When we had the approve from the Hope Center, we bought all the needed equipment A full carpentry equipment: a circular saw, a jigsaw, lathe, table saw, sheet sander, power screwdriver, power drill These all were in the approved budget in addition to the
wood material to start with and some small pieces that we use in manufacturing And an air compressor for the spraying process Currently, we are working in wooden frontages, lamps and new ideas that we are working on for the upcoming period We reconnected with customers and we are wishing for the best But we cannot work alone, we need a helping hand, that’s why we hired a carpenter And a worker for the spraying and we continue the rest of the work What differentiate our work is the styles that we make which no one else make What you are seeing now is just one of those styles, there are six other styles
We aspire in the future to manufacture clocks, by God’s will We deeply thank the donors of these small projects And I hope they always support the youths and the upcoming generation God bless them for giving us this chance and we are optimistic To become better and improve in our work and by thus have a decent life
