$350 Japanese Apartment; What Does It Looks Like??

I normally start my videos off on a more happy note but this week is going to start with a plea I'm sure many of you have heard about what is happening in Kyushu and are as heartbroken as I am you don't have to live here to share your heart with these people so if you guys can if you have the money the time the prayers the thoughts whatever you guys wanted whatever you want to do I plead that you give to the people of Kumamoto and to Kyushu and to Japan as a whole I'll put a link in the description and on the screen as well this is a site set up by my friend Michaela you guys from anywhere in the world can donate there and it won't go to like a Red Cross or whatever where the money will get will get there but through some bumps basically all that money and the money that's coming through the monetized video are entirely going to go to the government of Kumamoto to go directly to rescuing and rebuilding so if you guys can give please please do any any amount helps if you cannot give please raise awareness for this cause if you guys can share this video share her video share that Kickstarter like page this is my home and I don't like seeing it distressed so this is my home and where I make my videos about so if you guys have enjoyed this channel in some small way it's because of here so that's all I have to say thank you guys alrighty we're going to start here in the elevator because I like noisy audio here we are I already have it unlocked so just open the door here and you're brought into my little open area type of thing so right here you go ahead and take your shoes off sometimes I have slippers if I've guests over with me socks are totally fine and you have your little this is just my little shoe area for spares that I have or if my friends come over they don't want to leave it they can always put it right there you may be asking hey Chad why do you have a whole bunch of flour and stuff out here that's because during the earthquakes they were all up here and if you can tell yeah it didn't work out well for me this is extra storage I mean it's not a ton but you know it's probably the point five meters cubed give or take and then obviously it comes to this little rack to hang they have this thing that you put like your helps you put like your feet in your shoes I don't really ever have a problem with that this here if you guys can tell is the traditional Japanese bathroom door and you just has little kanji for push go back so this is my bathroom I apologize if it's still a little steamy in here I don't know if you can tell but yeah basically this was it so this was originally set up to be a wet bathroom a lot of the times Japanese places this little area here obviously has a drain but this little area is set up so you kind of shower yourself here and then you have the bath ready to go and to sit in and enjoy yourself so this one though if you can tell it has this little furry thing and that guy there and it's been set up with you know shower curtains whatever to be a non wet bath so you're not supposed to shower on this side your everything's done on this side which is more Western and even though I prefer the other style because this one's harder to clean it's not nearly as like tedious now I don't know if you can tell from the size of a bath it's actually pretty it's pretty deep and most bathtubs come with the traditional cork of course I don't know why it's just how they like to do it but yeah I don't know the tub is probably it's only like a foot and a half deep but it's about three feet long which is bigger than my last one so I'm 6 foot 2 and I could completely sit in this thing and kick out my legs and not really have a problem I can't lay down in it but I don't really have an issue with it now for those you wonder what the shower heads are like they all pretty much like this you the whole take off you type style but this bathroom has a little switch here and this is what switches from sink water to shower water so if you point it away from the sink you get wat ah yes and then also if you switch it this way it'll then go to there you can't do both you I do one or the other which is fine now my hot water heater kicks butt so like you can already tell it got like a little foamy just from that little bit that's insane how hot my water is and I love it and I never run out of hot water it's the most bizarre thing ever now for those of you saw my last house tour video I'm sure you're used to this type of toilet that when you flush it the water comes out the top however my thing got a little jacked up and now that's about all you can expect so most of my hand washing gets done on this bad boy now the house did come with the toothbrush e mo jigger as well as you know this nice curtain stuff and the top thing for this guy in the shower curtain everything else however is mine now what you can see up here too has this little vent this place gets fogged out so quick and so you just have to OOP that's light you have to switch that on and you'll actually hear that hopefully that's little doohickey that makes it stop getting fogged up so fast obviously have your bathroom slippers here I didn't really go in so I didn't really bother with them and plus it's my house I don't care this little room though the roof seemed kind of close but I'm six foot obviously to like I said um I can place a flat palm on the roof so this is probably an eight foot roof give or take now these are the light switches that you see a lot here that just this little switch Eva jiggy but this takes us to the door that takes us to Candyland welcome to my apartment everybody I'll give you one last little look at the inlet here so this is kind of what it looks like and then you go no shot of Chad Studio B Yeah right when you come off the front door this is your kitchen so I do have this is a little fridge I think I think it's a freezer actually I very rarely ever use it because my fridge is a lot more convenient to get to and it comes with the freezer so I don't really have a need for it um the house however did come with only one burner I can always buy another one and put it on my table I I just don't have the time or care to pour broke college student came to the cutting board and a couple things you know I sorry but one dirty dishes that came with like a pan and some other stuff over there I'll get to but for the most part this is all stuff I bought at a kakuhen store which means all this stuff cost a dollar or less if you come up here that's where these lights are coming from but you just go bah what a being and it's just a more storage space and places for salts and teas and you know the various hub of blue but now the thing that I'm not used to is wash hand washing my dishes so it took me forever to realize that this is your drying rack it's a every house is a little bit different but mine but mine basically came with this thing it sits on top of this white magic and then all the water drips down and then you just dump the water out of that which seems a little bizarre and there's also a little bit of space under here just to keep some extra pots and pans and whatever you have it now these guides one of them's for a fan but I don't really ever use that this for the light just because you want to keep it on and of course there's like some towel areas if you need to have some hand towels now you may be asking yourself Chad why are you set this big bag of trash out here well I'm I'm broke in the house didn't even come with a trash like can I have no idea why but in Japan you have to separate attraction to three different receptacles this is my burnable trash which is like 90% of what you typically have it's all it's pretty much everything that's not PT plastics or metal or glass or whatever and then all my PT plastics I've kind of just piled up because that only comes once a month and again I don't have a can so it's like oh great where am I going to put this house also came with this it came with a microwave that has multiple different settings it appears you got 500 watt 600 700 watts and then obviously no defrost and all those settings and then when you turn it on open the light and you go bring and you'll start cooking now for a little guy this thing has a lot of power and then I kind of just use the top for uh for storage I'm lazy and don't want to get shelves so now this thing here this is my water heater this whole kind of stick here I'm not going to open it up for you guys it's about I don't know I don't know if you guys get scale from videos I don't know probably a foot and a half tall but what happens is when water immediately comes in and immediately gets shot out hot it's kind of like those RV ones but this guy just will not ever run out because it's so effective at heating it so you can only really use hot water in one area at one time so if you're doing hot water in your dishes don't fill up your tub yes next up is my fridge and freezer I don't necessarily need all the space I mean I have a whole bunch like instant for Kona Miyake and you know whatever else I have ice cubes because it's about to be summer the fridge is the big one that I use but you can see it's not you know it's not terribly small but it's not the biggest thing in the world like that's a liter bottle of mugie chill right there in the corner so and then next to that the house did come with a little vacuum and an iron this little bag here was my attempt to get a laundry basket at a hundred yen store this is what they gave me that's my hand for reference so this basically holds my hats and fishing equipment now then when you turn around that's my bag of rice that I haven't found a place for this is kind of like my applying central area pretty much it's my toaster oven most Japanese homes have this or no oven I just don't do a lot of oven cooking this has been invaluable to me as a broke college kid so rice cooker is obviously not optional mine's nonstick in case you guys like these bad boys and I also kinda use it as a clock but not really now under here you kind of swipe these guys away and just have more space all my utensils go there my plates go there so my pots and pans and house stuff go there too I also have a little hot water heater that was really really helpful I cook a lot of ramen so having just one of those little instant hot water heaters was super nice
